A Study on the Application of RFID to Container Transportation System

This paper focus on the extended application of RFID to container transportation system. Based on the overview of common application of RFID technology to container, this paper studied the possibility of RFID applications to container transportation system. We categorized the application of RFID to container transportation into four hierarchies from the angle of cost and application area. It then analyzed four basic modes of container RFID applications. According to the problems analysis and the actuality of container transportation, several RFID application development trends were deduced.
